The Guild of Property Professionals continues its commitment to supporting its Members with the launch of an exclusive six-part video series on the Renters’ Rights Bill. Developed by Paul Offley, Compliance Officer at The Guild, the series is designed as a valuable resource for Guild Members to use at landlord events, helping landlords understand how the new legislation will impact them and what actions they need to take.

The Renters’ Rights Bill introduces significant changes for landlords, making it more crucial than ever for them to stay informed and compliant. As part of The Guild’s ongoing mission to provide exceptional support, these videos will serve as an educational tool for Members, enabling them to offer clear and professional guidance to landlords navigating the evolving regulatory landscape.

“With any legislative change, landlords look to industry professionals for guidance and support,” says Offley. “Our Members are well-positioned to assist landlords through this transition, and we want to ensure they have the necessary tools to do so effectively. This video series provides a straightforward, informative breakdown of the key elements of the Renters’ Rights Bill, making it easier for landlords to understand their responsibilities and take the appropriate steps to remain compliant.”

The six-part series covers the following key topics:

1. Introduction and Ombudsman – An overview of the Renters’ Rights Bill and the role of the Ombudsman.

2. Property Standards – Understanding the new requirements for rental property conditions.

3. Securing a Tenancy – Key changes in how tenancies are secured.

4. Payment of Rent – Updates on rent payment regulations and financial responsibilities.

5. Tenancy Reform – Insights into tenancy structure reforms and their implications.

6. Conclusion – Final thoughts and next steps for landlords.

As landlords face a rapidly changing legal landscape, now is the time for letting professionals to step up and provide the expertise needed to navigate these new requirements. The Guild remains committed to equipping its Members with industry-leading resources, reinforcing their role as trusted advisers in the property sector.

Guild Members can download the video series and use it at any landlord event to provide valuable insights and clarity on the Renters’ Rights Bill.
