The Guild welcomes more than 20 new Members in the first quarter of 2024

CEO Comments Iain McKenzie, CEO of The Guild of Property Professionals 24th April 2024

With the property market appearing to stabilise in recent months and the prospect of the remainder of 2024 bringing more buoyancy, The Guild is delighted to announce that more than 20 new Members have joined their hand-picked network of independent agents across January, February and March of this year.

Being chosen as a Guild Member is an exclusive opportunity, as just one agent in each town can join the network, thus helping Members to achieve differentiation within their local market. Amongst the recent, and growing, list of new Members looking forward to utilising the tools and services The Guild has to offer is Stuart Dalziell, Director at Abbey Forth Property Management. He comments, “I was shown The Guild by Craig Turpie from Turpie and Co, who also recently joined as a Guild Member, and I was amazed at what it could do for a small independent business like ours. The vast array of tools and the support seems to be comprehensive, and it is a no-brainer for independent agents without the in-house resources to provide these services.”

Sarah Pine, Sales Manager at Goodfellows Estate Agents, expressed a similar sentiment on their new Guild Membership, commenting, “We joined the network because we were looking for a way to further differentiate ourselves from other agents operating in the area and build connections with other agents across the UK. The team are very excited about utilising the tools available from The Guild to enhance our digital marketing and online presence.”

When asked why she felt it was important for independent agents to consider joining a Membership body such as The Guild, she responds, “The Guild offers us the ability to service our clients who are moving out of the area and it is comforting to know that the agent that we recommend will provide a service similar to ourselves and thereby protect our valuable relationship.”

As well as being a fantastic instruction-winning tool and offering the chance to support clients on their buying and selling journey, The Guild Automated Referral System, powered by nurtur.tech, offers Members the opportunity to automate the referral process to increase referrals and limit manual updates, making referrals between Members an automated revenue generator. Matthew Limb from Limb Estate Agents, who joined The Guild earlier this year, commented that they have already generated some valuable leads with the system and remarked that the support from The Guild team has been fantastic. “It is early days but we are certainly excited with the progress we have made in such a short period of time and look forward to using every tool in the Guild’s extensive toolbox. We already feel very pleased to be Guild Members,” he adds.

With a growing presence in Northern Ireland and a prominent focus on promotion of The Guild across the Irish Sea, the network is pleased to also welcome two new Members in the country in the form of Smyth Leslie and Bill McCann. Michael Leslie, Partner at Smyth Leslie exclaimed his delight in being selected as the exclusive Member for Enniskillen, saying, “We are grateful for the opportunity to be involved and to be the only agent in County Fermanagh to fly The Guild flag. We wanted to join The Guild to further improve our profile in the marketplace and help enhance our professional reputation further. We pride ourselves on providing an efficient and friendly service and we have great staff who help us strive towards this goal and our integrity in dealing with people is paramount. We are particularly looking forward to contributing to the magazine articles and networking with the other agents in Northern Ireland which will hopefully present more sales opportunities for us.”

Other agents who have recently joined The Guild network and will benefit from the UK-wide network include Property Matters, in Scotland and Chamberlain Philips, Berkeley Shaw, Alan Hawkins, Home Truths, Harrison Edge, Sharpe Estates, Reid Residential, Hawes and Co and Harrington Brown Property in England.

Commenting on the network’s newest Members, Iain McKenzie, CEO of The Guild of Property Professionals, says: “I am immensely proud of the service The Guild continues to provide our valued Members. The Guild network has developed over the years to meet our Members’ needs as the property market has evolved. I hope our new agents find their membership as valuable as our existing Members have testified to, with some having joined us over three decades ago.”
